Travel by boat to experience the majestic Sea eagle. The Sea eagle, also known as White-tailed eagle, has a wingspan of up to 2,65 meters and is the largest bird of prey in Norway. We guarantee you a meeting with this majestic bird on our boat trip. If you are lucky, you will also see a harbour porpoise or two dance around as they chase fish. Sit on deck with your camera ready while we serve you a hot beverage.

The boat trip takes place in stunning surroundings where the Sea eagle live and prey. The archipelago of Lofoten and Vesterålen has an exciting bird life, and bird enthusiasts can look forward to the diversity of species in this dramatic landscape. The Sea eagle is usually found on the mountain sides or circling above fishing boats. We may also encounter the smaller golden eagle.

Get real close with the Sea eagle

The captain makes sure to give you a close encounter with the wild eagles that soar above Vesterålen. This gives plenty of opportunities to take amazing and stunning photos of the eagles and landscape. The Sea eagle will come close and circle few meters over your head, and you will realise just how big a bird this really is. Of course, your guide have a high awareness of safety, and will make sure you have a comfortable trip.

Your guide will lure the eagles close to the boat by throwing out fish. Bring your camera to catch a top shot as the eagle circle above you and catch fish with a shallow dive.

This is a year-round activity, as the Sea eagle live here through the whole year. Bring warm and weatherproof clothes and shoes, as well as your camera. This is an activity for the whole family.
